This is a pretty hot debate around town. It’s one that I hold close to my heart. After all, is there really anything better than a mouth-watering, delicious cheeseburger when you’re really hungry? For me, sometimes nothing else will hit the spot. So, where does one find the absolute best cheeseburger in paradise? Here are three spots where you can’t go wrong.

Caroline’s

Pull up a chair at this tropical garden of a restaurant on Duval Street and watch the masses stream down the street. Make sure you come hungry because the portions are out of control. Order up Reverend Joe’s burger as you like it served with a stack of crispy french fries. It’s a classic burger full of flavor. If you think you’ve got room for an appetizer, too, order locals’ favorite Tex Mex rolls: part egg roll, part fajita, completely delicious.

Cheeseburgers

Well, the name says it all, really. At Cheeseburgers, you’ll find a menu a page long with different options for your burger. Some of the more tropical toppings include guacamole, jalapenos, and pineapple. Get adventurous and try a flavor combination you’ve never had before.

Schooner Wharf

Located at the Historic Seaport, a visit to Schooner Wharf is a must on any trip to Key West. While you’re chugging your beers watching the ships sail in and out of the harbor, you might find yourself getting a little hungry. Never fear. These guys serve up one of the juiciest burgers on the island. Order yours all the way: tomato, lettuce, sautéed onions, sautéed mushrooms, swiss cheese, and bacon. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!
