Key Lime Festival – June 30th – July 4th
The Key Lime Festival: America’s Favorite Citrus Celebration! In the Florida Keys, we like to celebrate the things that make our islands unique. Citrus, eccentrics, people & pie. Our celebrations are fun, odd & unforgettable. Our people are too. Come on down to the birthplace of Key Lime Pie for a little taste and you’ll see what we mean. Love & Limes!
2023 is shaping up to be the best Key Lime Festival yet. We’re pleased to offer a full 5 days of culinary events for every taste, including favorites from past years like the Key Lime Cocktail Sip & Stroll and Key Lime Pie Hop and new favorites for Key Lime lovers! We’ve also added a few intimate culinary events for our VIP Key Lime lovers! Once again, we expect most of the events will sell out so be sure to register here for the 2023 events.
Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden
Key West Art in the Garden Exhibit – Now through July 31st
The 13th annual ART in the GARDEN Exhibit is on display now and will run through July 31st at the historic Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden. Meander over Garden Boardwalks and down pathways through dappled shade, colorful blossoms and winged creatures of nature and spot…sculpture! Emphasizing harmony with nature, the return of ‘Art in the Garden’ showcases art & sculptures by local artists’ artistic expressions. These works are earth-friendly in the selection of materials and themes created from recycled, repurposed, and natural material.
Scarecrows in the Forest Art Exhibit and Contest – September – November 2023
Get your ‘Spooky On’ at the 5th annual “Scarecrows in the Forest” Art Exhibit & Contest. Around a corner, in a meadow, or right in front of you, made from natural, recycled, and repurposed material, each will be found throughout the Tropical Forest & Garden. CASH PRIZES will be awarded with ‘Best in Show’ chosen by garden visitors.
Lower Keys Migration Mania Birding & Wildlife Adventure – September 23rd – 24th
Flock to the historic Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden to witness the natural wonders of the annual fall migration by attending the Lower Keys Fall Migration Mania Birding and Wildlife Adventure. For the 15th year, learn as you enjoy guided tours at one of the most iconic bird and butterfly hotspots in the lower Keys.
A Screaming Green Halloween – October 28th, 10 am – 2 pm
The 15th Annual SCREAMING GREEN HALLOWEEN at the historic Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10 AM to 2 PM offers our community ‘a safe Halloween’ in fun way to save the environment with examples of recycled items for costumes, decorations, arts, crafts, wildlife activities, games and yes, treats. Arts, crafts, games, and Candy Stations will be throughout the garden so kids can be in costume, explore the Garden, participate in tricks and hunt for treats! 2 costume competitions: 5 and under & 6 – 12 with prizes, children’s interactive playground, games, food and more.

The Studios of Key West
Independence Day Dance Party on Hugh’s View, July 4th, 8 – 10 pm
Join The Studios on Tuesday, July 4th for a special Independence Day party on their rooftop terrace, Hugh’s View. All guests will be treated to a specialty welcome cocktail or mocktail (with its own popping sidecar), and DJ Nick Mazza will keep the soundtrack flowing until 10pm. We can’t promise an unobstructed fireworks show, but we can promise a good time. Wear your red, white and bluest finery and bring your firecracker personality. Fireworks start at 9pm from White Street Pier.
