Soon, thousands of babes and bikes will soon flood to the Key West area. That’s right: Key West doesn’t stop celebrating just because summer is drawing to a close. If your schedule is looking a bit bare, be sure to check out two truly unique events on the calendar for this September: Womenfest and the Key West Poker Run. Learn more about each event below:

Womenfest
Sept 10 – 13

Each year the Key West Business Guild (KWBG), a nonprofit organization, promotes the LGBTA community in the Key West area through events like Womenfest. These events help draw in 250,000 LGBTA travelers annually from all across the world to our tropical town. As a result, Key West is one of the most popular destinations in the world for the LGBTA community.

At Womenfest, thousands of women who identify as lesbians and friends will gather for a wide range of activities including pool parties, comedy shows, cruises, drag contests and more. For more on this event, visit http://www.womenfest.com/.

Poker Run
Sept 17 – 20

Rev up your engine and get ready for the 43rd Annual Phil Peterson’s Key West Poker Run! This festival combines the hottest motorcycles with the thrill of poker and the beauty of South Florida—making it one of the most memorable traditions in Key West.

Be sure to join thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts as they ride from Miami to Key West, enjoying the sunshine, ocean breezes and picturesque waters along the way. As you rumble along, you will stop at five designated spots to draw a card. At the end of the Poker Run, the person with the best hand wins!

For more information about this year’s Poker Run—which includes a bike show, charity raffle, and several other festivities—please visit http://www.petersonsharley.com/custompage.asp?pg=pokerrun
