Join the Key West Cooking School on Saturday, August 9 for a special culinary celebration featuring Florida’s beloved crustacean—the Spiny Lobster. The event will showcase renowned local chef Paul Menta and Key West Rum Fest founder Neil Lindsey for an unforgettable day of food, drink, and island flavor.
Chef Paul will lead two exclusive cooking demonstrations highlighting his award-winning Lobster Enchilados, the very dish that beat out celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. Guests will learn hands-on techniques for preparing, cutting, and seasoning Florida Spiny Lobster, all under Chef Paul’s expert guidance.
Tickets are $175 and include featured food, rum cocktails, dessert, and gratuity. A portion of proceeds supports the Key West Cooking School Culinary Arts Scholarship at the College of the Florida Keys.
To complement the culinary experience, Neil Lindsey will present a rum tasting and cocktail session featuring Bad Bitch First Legal Rum, the Hemingway Daiquiri, and the classic Cuba Libre, along with a rich, rum-soaked fruit cake.
Don’t miss this deliciously spirited celebration of island cuisine and culture.
