In Key West fishing isn’t just a hobby, it is a way of life. Fishing is even in the history of Key West. One of their most famous residents, Pulitzer-prize winning author Ernest Hemingway, sailed Pilar, his 38-foot fishing boat, between the waters of Key West and Cuba often. While writing some of his greatest works here, Hemingway also did much to popularize game fishing among writers, readers and fellow sportsmen.

Fishing in the Florida Keys and Key West Fishing
Linda D Sportfishing in Key West, FL

Key West is Florida’s southernmost subtropical paradise, closer to Cuba than Miami. The island is covered in natural beauty, and surrounded by vibrant marine life. Key West is perfect for anglers because our fish like to fight back, and anglers from around the world travel come here to try their luck against marlin, tarpon, mahi mahi, sharks and more. We provide fishing tournaments year round where pros and beginners can try their luck for some big bucks.

Some of our greatest citizens spend their lives taking big game anglers, novices and families out on the great blue waters of Key West. Whether you are looking for fun, sport or a way to amuse your children, Key West fishing charters can make your vacation one you will not forget!

Key West Fishing Charters

Key West offers several charter boats that can provide the best sport fishing and family fishing trips. One example is Captain Moe’s Lucky Fleet, which includes three boats available for rent for half a day, three-quarters of a day or a full day!
