Quantum Key West Race Week
The 30th anniversary Quantum Key West Race Week kicked off yesterday. The Regatta was founded in 1988 by Yachting Magazine as a destination event, and it has grown each year – making it the more important international regatta in North America. This year, the final fleet tally includes 99 boats from 14 nations in 9 classes racing on 3 circles. You won’t want to miss this event!
Conch Republic Cup
The Conch Republic Cup (CRC) is a historic four race series that was started in 1997. This year marks the 9th edition. The boats will complete a triangle race from Key West to 2 Cuban cities – Varadero and Havana. The mission is to revitalize racing in Cuba while introducing as many of the US Sailing Community as possible to this beautiful country.
While you are in Key West, make sure to check out 2 of our classic racing schooners – Schooner Appledore and Schooner America. These are considered to be prime examples of historical traditional wooden schooners.
