One of Key West’s newest and most fun events takes place this Labor Day Weekend…Brewfest. Now in its third year, its a chance for visitors and locals alike to taste beer, taste food with beer, taste food that goes well with beer, learn about beer and so much more. And the really great thing? The proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Key West’s charitable efforts. Many of the Key West Attraction Association’s members are participating. There is something for everyone!
Thursday, August 30th
2pm – 3:30pm: Beer School and Educational Seminar with special guest Jim Brady at the Oceanfront Pavilion at the Southernmost on the Beach Hotel
5pm– Kick-off Party at the Smokin’ Tuna Saloon – Sample some of The Tuna’s Craft and Speciality Beers along with their World Famous Smokin’ Tuna Dip, White Bean Chili (with tuna), Shrimp Ceviche while listening to the Wicked Tuna Band. The Tuna will also be featuring some of the finest cigars from around the world including Arturo Fuente and OpusX.
6pm – JDL’s Big Ten Pub Beer Dinner (Menu)
7pm–Cigar City Brewing 4 Course Dinner at 2 Cents – 6pm. Come try the award-winning beers of Cigar City Brewing from Tampa, Florida, paired with custom-made dishes from 2 Cents’ kitchen. Four-courses, $55 per person. RSVP at 305-414-8626. Menu

10am – 12pm: Beer and Cheese Seminar at the Restaurant Store -During the two hour seminar, guests will learn about beer styles, selecting proper glassware, beer history, brewing processes that differential the styles and how to pair other foods with beer styles. At the end, take home an assortment of 4 beer glasses

5pm – 9pm: Sloppy Joes BrewFest Party -Meet the Brewer Tap Takeover – All four bars at Sloppy Joe’s will feature crafted beers on tap from great breweries like Blue Point, Shipyard, Abita and introducing Mile Marker Brewing Company! Representatives from each brewery will be on hand to meet with and talk beer shop. “Catch the Music and Brew at Sloppy Joe’s!”

9pm til late: Drink Like a Local Tap Takeover at Krawl Off Duval – Show your Florida pride as breweries from across the state take over the taps at Krawl. Featuring special release brews from Tequesta Brewing, Due South, Cigar City, Native, Holy Mackerel, Monk in the Trunk, and Mile Marker. Representatives from each brewery will be in attendance to talk about their beers.
10pm: Widmer Brothers Brewing Tap Takeover at Shos & Giggles. Join Brew Master Andy Schwartz for an informative evening and sample some truly unique and innovative beers.
Saturday, September 1st
